Established in 1958, Northwestern Counseling & Support Services, Inc. is a non-profit, community behavioral health and development services agency, which provides a comprehensive range of professional services to children, adults and their families throughout Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. Services and supports are provided by a professional staff, including psychiatrist, psychologists, social workers, nurses, teachers and advocates.
Although the name has changed over time and the Agency has experienced tremendous growth, today we are guided by the same underlying mission: "To ensure the residents of Franklin and Grand Isle Counties have access to quality psychosocial services within their community setting."
NCSS is a member of the Center for Health and Wellness, a collaborative partnership with Northwestern Medical Center, Franklin County Home Health Agency and the VT Department of Health, and as such, works for a healthy, safe and strong community.
